The celebration starts on the first Monday in June every year. It’s a chance to recognise, celebrate and thank the UK’s incredible volunteers for all they contribute to our local communities, the voluntary sector, and society.
From open days to celebration events, every year hundreds of online and in-person activities take place across the UK to mark Volunteers’ Week and celebrate volunteers.
So how can you get involved?
Organisations can get involved in many exciting ways. There are tools and resources around running an event, supporting and managing volunteers, using social media, launching a new volunteering project, and an opportunity to sign up for email updates here.
If you are a voluntary, community or social enterprise group in Rhondda Cynon Taf, and you want to make a video or give a testimonial to thank your volunteers, please contact us at [email protected]
Whether you’re already volunteering or want to start, this Volunteer’s Week page has resources on sharing your story and becoming a volunteer. Click here for more information.
If you are in RCT and you would like to volunteer, see our volunteering opportunities here.
Interlink RCT asked groups to tell them the value of volunteering and the difference it makes to the local community and their organisation. After a poll on Connect RCT, the top 3 organisations were interviewed to learn more about the value of their volunteers and the well-being benefits.
In this video Reel Minds CIC, Bryncynon Strategy and Role Play Lane share and explore the importance of volunteering in RCT.
