The Volunteer Ambassador scheme is an awareness raising project wherein volunteers with a personal connection to kidney disease deliver awareness talks across Wales. The aim of the project is to raise awareness about Kidney Health, Kidney Disease, and the work that Kidney Wales do to provide support for patients and their families.

As an ambassador, you will be giving awareness talks in your community with the help and support of Kidney Wales. This includes a pre-made PowerPoint presentation and a public speaking training session. You will receive support from the Kidney Wales team, as well as your network of fellow volunteer ambassadors.

The project is just over a year old, and has continued to grow from strength to strength.  It has already reached a wide variety of people, organisations and businesses that include: Stroke AssociationWCVAUnison and NHS staff and support groups.

The beauty of this project, no matter where you are in Wales you can source your own and deliver talks in your locality and / or via zoom. We will be here to support you with this, as well as offering out any talk opportunities  that come to us directly.
