Treasurer for a Local Male Voice Choir with an opportunity to become a Trustee

Cor Meibion Morlais are recruiting a Treasurer. Vacancy is immediate. Duties would entail on a monthly basis reporting to the Committee on all Financial Matters and on an annual basis to bring the Accounts together so that they can be Audited and presented to the Charity Commission. The accounts are also presented at the Annual Generl Meeting and there would be a requirement to attend this to answer any queries from the Members.  We have professional help available for the Annual Accounts and for any matter that arises along the way. The position is long term with a 3 month probation. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of Accountancy and be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Software is available and training provided. The candidate will be invited to become a Trustee upon successfully delivering the accounts for one year. This is not compulsory but it will provide the candidate with something more to work toward. The position attracts an Honorarium which can be discussed later down the selection process. It would be necessary to attend one meeting a month, the total hours will vary but they will be in the region of 8 per month and 20 at the year end but this is by definition a best estimate.
