Mental Health Supporting Farmers and people in Agriculture, 24/7 Helpline. Training, Raising Awareness Mental Health in Farming, Volunteers
We are a Mental Health Charity founded 8 years ago by Emma Picton Jones after her husband died by suicide 8 yrs ago. Initially supporting the agricultural community in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, now covering all Wales. Volunteer led, with only 5 staff, we have Volunteer Roles for Share the Load Volunteers, Regional Champions and Student Champions
We are almost entirely funded by fundraising and are extremely grateful for donations that help us to continue our awareness raising, and we are always on the lookout for Regional Champions to help us with this.

Also offers support for people who have been bereaved and FREE counselling, and we do have Welsh speakers
o Our helpline runs 24/7 and is available by phone or text.
o We only ask callers for their first names & we don’t ask for their address.
o All calls are confidential, and we DO NOT discuss callers within the organisation
o Our counsellors are all registered with BACP or RCCP
Mental Health Awareness training and Bereavement Training
o Our Mental Health Awareness Training is tailored to those working in agriculture
o Our training is advertised on Eventbrite and all our social media-online sessions are Free and
o We train companies for a fee and fund free training for the community.
Deliver Talks to groups e.g YFCs, WI, Merched y Wawr- at Fundraisers!
Raise awareness what we do at Agricultural Shows, Events in community and where we can alongside other 3rd sector organisations, Health & Wellbeing Services with NHS and Local Authority.
We have the Hywel Davies Lorry covering Pembroleshire and Camarthenshire as it is legacy ring fenced for those areas- has nurse on board doing BP checks and test Diabetes and general well-being.
Promote the DPJ Big BBQ- as a way to get together but can also be a Fundraiser.
Dan y Bont Books to support children-bereaved by suicide, family bereavement or accident, set of 3, bilingual. Can be purchased via DPJ Etsy site. Or sent for free to schools where a local family and /or community are bereaved by suicide or death by accident.
