About

Not for Profit CLG - A children's role play centre that holds educational & well being classes for families.

'Heol Chwarae Rol' TA Role Play Lane is a Not for Profit CLG, which is a children's role play centre that holds several educational and well being classes for children and parents.

The objectives of Heol Chwarae Rol (TA Role Play Lane) are:

  • To provide affordable role play sessions for families, that is fundamental to children’s development.

  • To provide affordable, educational classes such as music, art and mindfulness activities to support children’s development and education.

  • To provide a hub / hubs to support parents and families, through the delivery of workshops, courses and events.

  • To be a ‘Supported Business’ by providing employment opportunities to disabled, disadvantaged and young people, providing them with skills and qualifications to further their careers.

Over the past few months we have undertaken customer engagement sessions and events at Role Play Lane, where families from the local community came along and fed back about their current financial situation, discussed the rising costs of petrol, energy bills and food bills and discussed the hardships that they currently face. They contributed to ideas about what they would like to see for their families at the venue (Role Play Lane), and high on their priority was well-being and mindfulness sessions, craft and music sessions and family events such as family bingo, quizzes and film evenings.

We regualrly collaborate with Inspirational Futures, which is a CGL (not for profit organisation) which has been running for approximately 4 years and provides well-being emotional support for families, schools and teachers.

Inspirational Futures objectives are:

  • To provide well-being support and resources within the education sector.

  • To provide well-being support and resources within the education sector.

  • To promote the introduction of positive mental habits from an early age.

  • To advance the education of the general public in areas relating to well-being.

Inspirational Futures have developed a range of workshops focusing on the five main aspects of well-being which link to the Health and Well-being Area of Learning in the New Curriculum for Wales, as well as the NHS 5 Steps to Mental Well-being. We will be working together to provide a range of workshops to support the local community and their families and will be taking referrals from local schools via Family Liaison Officers to find out which families may benefit from these sessions the most and who is in most need. After the workshops, children will be able to enjoy the wonderful role play areas at Role Play Lane, where they can use their imaginations, develop social and communication skills and utilise their fine and gross motor skills.
