Project Worker and Advocate - Project Unity

National Youth Advocacy Service (NYAS/NYAS Cymru) is a children's rights based charity operating in England and Wales.

One of the many projects NYAS Cymru has to offer is Project Unity. Our Project is centred around care-experienced young people who are pregnant or new parents up to the age of 25. We provide holisitic support and advocacy to individuals that may be subject to social services intervention for their children.

The services we provide young people are:

Advocacy - in a variety of settings including Housing, Mental Health Agencies, Local Authority statutory meetings/Public Law Outline's (PLO's), Core Groups, meetings with Solicitors and in Family Court.

Budgeting - accessing all available benefits to maximise income. Help with applying for grants.

Reducing isolation - Supporting young people into socialising with peers and attending life skills/baby groups.
