About
Support and help those with mental health or addiction issues
Grumpy Dumpty was created by Gareth, a recovering alcoholic, mental health advocate, and father from South Wales who turned years of pain, addiction, trauma and survival into a platform built on honesty.
What started as raw social media posts sharing the reality of alcoholism, suicide attempts, recovery and rebuilding life became a growing community where people felt safe enough to finally say, “me too.”
The Grumpy Dumpty Foundation exists to support people struggling with addiction, mental health battles, isolation and stigma. Its mission is simple. Start uncomfortable conversations that save lives.
Through awareness campaigns, lived experience talks, community projects, petitions and online support, the foundation focuses on real life honesty over polished perfection. No fake positivity. No judgement. Just truth, support and hope for people who feel forgotten.
The foundation also campaigns for better awareness around hidden alcohol in food products, safer advertising standards, and improved support for those in recovery.
At its heart, Grumpy Dumpty stands for one thing above all else:
Surviving loudly so others know they can too.
