Discover the power of your voice through creativity.
Voices on Paper is a FREE Arts Council of Wales-funded creative project for young people aged 11–16 in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
Over four artist-led workshops, participants will explore identity, creativity and self-expression through collage, illustration, photography, creative writing and zine-making (creating their own handmade mini magazine).
Led by award-winning writer and creative practitioner Mab Jones, each workshop builds towards a unique self-published zine that reflects each young person's story, ideas and aspirations.

📅 1 August 2026 – My Story
Explore identity, interests and experiences through creative art and writing.
📅 8 August 2026 – Imagine My Future
Create a vision of your future using collage and creative storytelling.
📅 22 August 2026 – My Personal Crest
Celebrate your strengths, values and individuality through symbols and design.
📅 29 August 2026 – My Mark
Complete your zine, reflect on your journey and celebrate your achievements.
Participants will:
- Build confidence through creativity
- Express themselves in a safe and welcoming environment
- Learn new artistic techniques
- Make new friends
- Create and take home their own handmade zine
No previous art or writing experience is needed.
