We are hosting afternoon tea for our Volunteers in our four charity shops in Ton Pentre, Treorchy, Williamstown and Ynysbwl. An opportunity to thank them for their amazing work that allows us to save and change the lives of so many animals and also support many pet owners in crisis. We were successful in our application for the Interlink grant of £250 and this will be used to cover the cost. Later in the month we are hosting a picnic for our fosterers, fundraisers, admin and support volunteers. As with most charities surviving the last year has been an incredible challenge and it is only because of the hard work and commitment of our teams that we were able to continue our work. So many of them stepped up when they were experiencing their own difficulties. Fundraising moved online to allow us to continue meeting our responsibilities and paying our vets bills. The demand for our pet owners in crisis work increased enormously and despite many of our volunteers being in the 'at risk' and shielding groups we still managed to help so many owners and animals in need. We don't have any paid staff so without volunteers we simply would not exist and it's great to have an opportunity to say thank you.
