The RCT Food Partnership invites you to a unique collaborative event about the future of food in RCT. During the day you will be working alongside other interested parties in the food community, to develop fresh ideas for a sustainable food economy and system in RCT that works for everyone. We will be working in teams throughout the event and pitching our ideas to a panel at the end.

Together we will be addressing the following challenge area:
How can we make RCT a place where people can access nutritious and affordable food?
Building on the good work going on across RCT and in line with the sustainable food strategy we will be working in teams around the following themes:
- Public awareness and growing an active local good food movement
- Tackling food poverty and diet related ill health
- Local sustainable food economy
- Catering and Procurement – using local and sustainable suppliers
- Food for the planet
Come along and:
- Create a vision: Share your visions for the future of food in RCT
- Generate ideas: Turn your vision into innovative fresh ideas
- Stimulate change: Help change how we do things
- Connect: Network with similar individuals, businesses, and organisation.

Who is it for:
This event is for individuals, community groups, food producers, organisations, farmers, NHS, local government, and businesses that have an interest in working together to create more collaborative food networks across RCT.
We openly welcome community members growers, land workers, retailers and caterers, and anyone that would have an interest, no matter how much or how little they are involved.

*Spaces are limited so please attend if registered. The event will be catered, and orders will be placed on final bookings. We do not wish to waste food so if you are unable to attend for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible.
Attendees will also receive a veg box on the day.
Transport and parking: The event will be accessible via public transport with Ponty train and bus stations only a few minutes’ walk away, with several public car parks are nearby (some car parks are cash only but free to use for Blue Badge users – please check details at your chosen car park).
