Re:Make Valleys offer a repair space in partnership with Repair Café Wales, a Zero Waste / refill shop full of affordable household essentials, and a Library Of Things where the community can borrow various tools, home and garden items.
We need a volunteer content creator to help us with our communications & social media
Hours: 1-5 hours per week
Responsibilities:
▪ Engaging with members to share news about skill-sharing events and
borrowing opportunities
▪ Engaging with borrowing and Re:Make Valleys news with non-members to
grow membership
▪ Writing press releases
▪ Engaging with Re:Make Valleys, Benthyg, and repair cafe online discussion
groups
▪ Making videos to share stories from borrowers, events and volunteers
▪ Promoting Re:Make Valleys by attending local events and distributing flyers
▪ Ensuring that all media is in both Welsh and English
▪ Being fluent in both Welsh and English is encouraged
This role can be done remotely if desired, though visiting the shop would be beneficial.
