 Your invitation !

To the Open Doors Event September 4 th 2022 at 2.30pm  in Taffs Well Park Pavilion

The Friends of Taff’s Well Park and Thermal Spring are delighted to be able to invite you to the Cadw Open Doors  event hosted by the Friends of Taff’s Well Park and  Thermal Spring ,it is in the pavilion at 2.30pm on September the 4th .This is a very important event for us , as due to the ravages of Storm Dennis and ensuing Covid . It was last held in 2019  in the pavilion. The pavilion is now heated by the well water and solar panels.. We were able manage to hold a small event in the Community Hub last year and Jon Arroyo project manager who was leading the  project to get the water from the well to the school and the pavilion, gave a talk describing  how the water from the spring would be used to heat the school and Pavilion .Jon was supported by Gareth Farr geologist who had been involved with the well for many years .Jon will  give us a further update and for those who don’t know how it was done , show us. Gareth  now has new job  with the coal board., he now leads projects extracting heated mine water from old mines. He will talk about other heat pump projects and the NetZero agenda .  We do hope you and yours can attend
