Cwmclydach country park is an area of outstanding beauty set between the bottom and top lakes in Clydach Vale.

Friends of Cwmclydach Country Park are a group of volunteers which was set up in 2011 to look after the countryside park. Although the land the park is situated in is owned by the Rhondda Cynon Taff Council, they maintain it within their limited resources. Our volunteers maintain the park assisted on occasion by various groups.

The friends meet as a group on a monthly basis to review what has been carried out, and to plan for the future.

Keep Wales Tidy Green Flag Award; our Country park has been awarded a Green Flag for the last 7 years.

Rhondda Cynon Taff Council look after the bigger maintenance & repairs of the park, we work closely with them to preserve & improve the area where possible.

We have worked with other groups and schools such as Cwmclydach Primary School and Rhondda College: Both groups have assisted us in litter picking around the park in the past, and we try and use these days to educate the pupils about the park.
