Re:Make Valleys offer a repair space in partnership with Repair Café Wales, a Zero Waste / refill shop full of affordable household essentials, and a Library Of Things where the community can borrow various tools, home and garden items.
We're looking for a sociable volunteer to welcome customers to the project and to help with day-to-day tasks.
Hours: 4+ hours per week
Responsibilities:
▪ Meet and greet all visitors by creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere
▪ Check items in and out following correct processes & procedures
▪ Keep the area clean and tidy before and after lending sessions
▪ Direct customers to the appropriate repairer
▪ Assist with simple form filling
▪ Maintaining and cleaning items
▪ Receive donations and add them to the library
▪ Maintain the online borrowing platform to monitor items available,
reserved, loaned and overdue
▪ Answer visitors’ questions and help them use the online borrowing platform
▪ Take payments
