As part of Transport for Wales’ ‘Connected Communities’ initiative and in partnership with Taff Ely Indoor Bowls Club, we are offering community based organisations the opportunity to come along and participate in ‘taster sessions’ at the indoor bowls club, Pontypridd.
Sessions will be offered, subject to availability, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from mid September to April between 1200 and 1400. Members of Taff Ely Indoor Bowls Club will be present to offer advice and guidance to participants.
In addition to providing great exercise, bowling offers social benefits such as meeting new friends and maintaining mental well-being. No previous bowling experience is necessary.
During the session, participants will also receive a presentation on ‘Confidence to Travel’ - Transport for Wales’ initiative aimed at giving people the knowledge, experience and confidence to travel by train.
Delivered by our Community Rail Ambassador, participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions related to train travel.
