·        Wednesday 09:30am-14:30pm

·        Saturday 9:30am-12.30pm / 12.30pm-4.30pm

·        Sunday 9:30am-12.30pm / 12.30pm-4.30pm

(Volunteers are welcome to work a whole day on a Saturday and Sunday or the half day shift, please enquire with the Volunteer Coordinator.)

Role description:

Cleaning the cafe before and after shift.  Completing opening checks. Taking orders Handling cash at the till, assisting with the preparation and serving of food and hot and cold beverages to customers. General cleaning of the food areas, maintaining the excellent standards of hygiene at the Caban and completing closing checks. Picking up and returning building keys if needed.

Main tasks:

·        Opening & closing the Caban

·        Conducting opening checks

·        Preparing hot beverages

·        Preparing food under supervision unless qualified

·        Greeting and serving customers

·        Using the till and handling cash

·        Cleaning kitchen, seating and toilet area

·        Conducting closing checks

·        Adhering to Covid guidelines  

·        Keeping our 5-star hygiene rating

Required skills, qualities and experience  

·        Customer Service skills

·        Comfortable working in a remote location

·        Hospitality/Catering/Baking/Food preparation

·        Small cash handling

·        Working as part of a team

·        Reliable, trustworthy

·        Punctuality

·        Volunteers need to arrange their own transport

Desirable skills

Welsh language desirable
