Hello there, my name is Sarah and I'm a 50year nana living in the valleys. I am originally from Wolverhampton but moved here 9years ago to live with my fiancé. I had a 25year career in the Civil Service in Office Management. When I moved I needed a change of pace so I did some care work for people with disabilities and most recently retail in Tesco and Dunelm.
I have 9 GCSE's & NVQ in Administration.
I have wide ranging interests, travel, music, arts, theatre, current affairs, social media, history, painting, and am a very active nana and auntie.
Two of my grandsons are autistic so I have experience in dealing with their wide ranging conditions.
I am looking for a change in direction after a period of ill health (Covid) I really need a new challenge and would love to volunteer in schools primarily dealing with children between the ages of 3 to 10 years. I would with the requisite experience ultimately like to make this my full time job.
I have been interacting with the public in various roles for many years, I enjoy communicating with everyone from all walks of life, am an excellent organiser, can work to deadlines and enjoy being part of a team.
Seeing my little grandsons grow up and flourish has been wonderful and I would enjoy helping other children to learn too. I am passionate about all children being given the same chance and opportunities...
I am happy to undertake any DBS checks needed of course and available for interviews as required. I am still presently working at Dunelm so any role I undertake would need to fit in with this atm, but 1 day/half day a week I can fit in with my shifts.
