Provide people and communities with a hand-up

We are an accredited real living wage charity that help people and communities who need a hand up and not a hand out. Our HQ is in Pontypridd and we operate in Wales and England. We are different because we:

  • Provide ethical loans for startups
  • Step in when banks step back
  • See the person / their business idea and not £history
  • Start self-reliant groups (e.g. for friendship, confidence & new skills)
  • Facilitate creative Be Your Own Boss workshops
  • Provide 3in1: our HQ / shop on Church St. / rooms 4Hire

In 2021 we provided 103 loans worth £251k, starting 73 businesses and supporting 30 others and taking 87 people off benefits. Every £1 we loan adds £10 the economy. We are levelling-up in practice.
