Childcare & Community Development
The Fern partnership are an award-winning, progressive, and forward looking social enterprise, with a mission to work with and meet the needs of the communities it serves. Our core business is based around our seven Little Ferns childcare settings located across the Rhondda and Cynon Valleys. We have also established two new community hubs utilising redundant community buildings at Ferndale and at Maerdy, and our most challenging project has been the transformation of an industrial unit in Clydach Vale into our Fuze Play and Climbing Centre.
The charity has been operational employing staff, providing child care and community services since February 2015 and has gone from strength to strength. We continue to expand and develop our community portfolio with a view to support community needs including providing training and development opportunities.
