We are currently seeking to recruit for a final place on our board, while you should bring some transferrable skills and/or experience and a wish to support and improve the local community, this post may also suit someone looking to build their CV and knowledge base. Board members are responsible for the strategic direction of the organisation and supported by an operational management team.
Our member base is diverse and we seek to bring affordable and accessible financial services to anyone in our common bond area (Wales) and treat each member fairly as an individual. While the organisation needs and does make a profit to continue trading, the focus is on treating our members fairly and surplus is returned in the form of a dividend.
While this position is not remunerated, out of pocket expenses will be paid and all board members are covered by comprehensive directors insurance.

The board currently mostly meet monthly (online) but usually plan face-to-face meetings quaterly.
You will need to show you understand the ethos of the organisation. The board position will remain open until the right candidate is identified. The successful candidate will require a DBS check and need to be approved by our application to the Financial Conduct Authority.
