About
Working with children and their families throughout the Rhondda area to provide reading and literacy opportunities.
The 'Reading Rhondda' project provides opportunities for children and their families to engage with reading, talking and literacy activities; creating a platform throughout the Rhondda where families can share ideas and experiences of how best to support their children at home.
We work with children 0-11 years through playgroups, schools, after school clubs and youth clubs, providing free books with a read and return ethos.
We are currently in the process of creating 'Free little libraries' at the settings we are working with which will be stocked regularly with books of all ages for the community to access and enjoy.
We hope to create a love of reading amongst the children we work with and support families to do the same at home.
