Foodwise for Life is a free, community-based healthy eating and weight management programme available to residents across Rhondda Cynon Taf. It is delivered by trained facilitators within local community venues and supported by RCT Council and Public Health Wales.
What we offer
The programme is designed to help adults improve their diet, manage their weight and make sustainable lifestyle changes. Over a series of group sessions, participants learn about:

Food labelling and making informed choices

Meal planning and cooking on a budget

The importance of regular physical activity

Building confidence and motivation to maintain changes
Who it’s for
Foodwise for Life is open to adults who would like support to eat more healthily and achieve or maintain a healthier weight. It’s particularly helpful for people living with, or at risk of, long-term conditions such as type 2 diabetes or heart disease.
Community focus
Sessions are delivered in a friendly, supportive group setting where participants can share experiences, encourage each other and work towards their goals together. Courses take place in community centres, health settings and other local venues across RCT.
