Hope Rescue is the leading dog welfare charity that saves the lives of strays, abandoned and unwanted dogs in South Wales. Since 2005, our team has given a second chance to thousands of dogs that need a new start, from our dedicated facilities in Rhondda Cynon Taf.
We commit to take all the stray dogs from six Local Authorities in South Wales - Merthyr Tydfil, Torfaen, Blaenau Gwent, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Bridgend and the western half of the Vale of Glamorgan - irrespective of their age, breed, or medical condition.
We help the most vulnerable dogs in our local communities, working closely with Local Authorities across South Wales to support them with their stray dogs and dogs seized from low welfare or illegal breeders.
We prepare dogs for their second chance at a happy life, taking time to assess their needs and find the perfect home.
We also provide valuable support to pet owners in crisis who need to rehome their pets.
Hope Rescue actively campaigns for improvements to animal welfare legislation and enforcement, and provides support and advice to the public on responsible dog ownership.
Fundraising Team;
On the community fundraising team we are out in the local communities raising awareness for our chairty whilst also fundraising to raise the vital funds we need.
The activities we do include,
- Bucket collections at your local store such as Asda, Tesco etc.
- Stalls at community events
- Local dog shows
- Street collections
- Assist our events team at Hope Rescue events such as our ball.
It is a great way to meet local people with similar interests and make wonderful friends along the way.
Our events include a lot of interaction with the public and you will get to meet many dogs which is always a bonus!
If this sounds like something you would enjoy, please do get in touch as we would love to hear from you.
