Dylan’s Den is a successful childcare co-operative and company limited by guarantee that was established in 2008 to provide high quality, affordable childcare for people in the Rhondda. The organisation is now entering an exciting and challenging period of growth and has ambitious plans for the future.
To help us grow we need enthusiastic people to join our Board. We need people who can help direct Dylan’s Den towards achieving its mission and ensure the organisation is managed effectively. You will need to be able to make a commitment to the organisation and devote the necessary time; have strategic vision, independent judgment, an ability to think creatively and a willingness to speak your mind. We are particularly keen to recruit members of the local and business community who have one or more of the following skills;
- Leadership and implementing strategy ideally gained in the third sector
- Business and commercial skills and experience of relationships at Board level
- Experience in community development and regeneration
- Expertise in HR, Law, Marketing or Accountancy
- Current users of Dylan’s Den
Board meetings are held every 3 months and the Board is responsible for setting the strategy and policies of Dylan’s Den and guides and supports its management team. Sub committees occasionally meet between meetings. These positions are unremunerated.
