Have a concern about accessing a Council service? Come along to our Disability Drop-In sessions!
Open to all disabled residents of RCT, or residents with an interest in disability or accessibility in the area, our drop-in sessions provide a supportive space to share any concerns about barriers you may face when accessing Council services.
Our next drop-in sessions will be held throughout the year at a variety of locations throughout Rhondda Cynon Taf.
If you would like more information, have questions, or have any adjustments you would like to discuss please get in touch with the Diversity and Inclusion team on [email protected] or 01443 444529.
What are Disability Drop-in Sessions?
Our drop-in sessions are designed to be spaces for you to raise and concerns or accessibility barriers you have experienced when accessing Council services.
What happens in these sessions?
When you arrive, you’ll be able to speak with a member of the Council’s Diversity and Inclusion team.
The team may take notes in order to pass on details of your concern to the relevant service area. They may also ask for your contact details to update you on your concern (if needed).
Are these sessions accessible?
All of our sessions are held in RCT Libraries or Sport Centres, and will always be wheelchair accessible. You are welcome to bring a carer, family member or friend with you to these sessions, and are welcome to bring any fidget tools or sensory supports that you need with you.
