Penderyn Community Centre is a small but growing voluntary organisation serving the people of Penderyn & surrounding areas and providing a wide variety of activities for all ages and abilities. It is a registered charity managed by a Board of Trustees; we manage the Community Centre, Yr Eithin (our ancient woodland) and the Penderyn Village Pantry (a food waste/food poverty initiative) all of which we are very proud. We have a team of over 35 regular volunteers and plan to recruit more and eventually to provide local employment in this beautiful but semi rural part of Wales. We also have ambitious plans for future expansion of our services including a pop-up café, book clubs, yoga and much more.
The Board of Trustees are keen to recruit new trustees to help us grow and develop and we need experienced members of the public to join our Board. We are particularly keen to recruit members of the local community in Penderyn and surrounding areas who have one or more of the following skills:
• Experience of business management, HR or charity organisations.
• Experience of accounting, charity accounting or treasurer experience.
• Expertise in Marketing, PR or website building.
Board meetings are held every month at the Penderyn Community Centre, on Monday evening between 6.30pm and 8.00pm. The Board is responsible for setting the strategy and policies of Penderyn Community Centre and guides and supports the Chair of Trustees, fellow Trustees and staff
